Life On Land
Sustaining Life on Land - World Citi Colleges adherence to SDG 15 through Bakuran: Running for Environmental Conservation.
Wetlands, forests, grasslands, and landscapes rich in biodiversity are valuable to the health and welfare of our world. These ecosystems are the foundation of life on Earth, providing everything from clean water and air to food security and climate management. Nonetheless, these natural gems are seriously threatened by increasing habitat degradation, deforestation, desertification, and biodiversity loss. Life on Land, the 15th Sustainable Development Goal, underlines the need for biodiversity protection, habitat restoration, and terrestrial ecosystem conservation on a worldwide scale.
World Citi Colleges (WCC) is steadfast in committing itself to this objective, promoting a sustainable and environmentally conscious culture. WCC showcases the value of group efforts in preserving terrestrial ecosystems with the Bakuran: Running for Environmental Conservation campaign. This event highlights the value of conservation in creating a sustainable future by bringing communities, educators, and students together in a common goal to preserve and repair the environment.
Bakuran, a creative and effective program that combines environmental campaigning with physical exercise, is at the core of WCC’s commitment to SDG 15. This community-driven event raises awareness of the pressing need for conservation while inviting people to take part in an enjoyable and meaningful activity: jogging for a cause. Bakuran’s profits go directly toward initiatives that restore damaged ecosystems, grow native trees, and encourage sustainable land use. In addition to generating money, the event encourages people to participate in preserving and rehabilitating actively terrestrial ecosystems by fostering a feeling of community and shared environmental responsibility.
WCC aims to bring about a world where land-based life is respected, safeguarded, and fostered via Bakuran: Running for Environmental Conservation. The project serves as an example of how educational establishments may effect significant change, proving that conservation is not just a moral and social obligation but also an environmental need. Participants literally move toward a future where forests are maintained, biodiversity thrives, and damaged areas are regenerated as they run for the cause. Every action demonstrates a dedication to building a future in which people coexist peacefully with the environment, guaranteeing the ecosystem’s existence for future generations.
