Zero Hunger

A commitment to Zero Hunger - World Citi Colleges Alignment with SDG 2 through Farmaralan and Oplan Damayan.

World Citi Colleges (WCC) is delighted to support Sustainable Development Goal 2 to banish hunger, attain food security, enhance nutrition, and move forward in sustainable agriculture. SDG 2 is a dire demand for a world where food systems are robust, communities are self-sustaining, and everyone has steady access to wholesome food. It is only a call to wipe out hunger completely. At World Citi Colleges, we understand how essential education involvement is in realizing this goal, mainly via programs that increase understanding of sustainable practices and connect people to the land.

To this end, World Citi Colleges has launched two essential programs: Oplan Damayan, a disaster relief effort that offers prompt assistance to those impacted by typhoons in Marikina, and Farmaralan, our community-based sustainable farming program. By strengthening food resilience, assisting regional farmers, and providing aid to people experiencing hardships, these two initiatives point out our commitment to SDG 2.

WCC's determination to attain SDG 2 and our overarching goal of creating resilient, self-sufficient communities is illustrated by Farmaralan and Oplan Damayan working together. At World Citi Colleges, we hold the view that having access to wholesome food is essential for both individual and community growth, in addition to being a fundamental human right. We strive to establish a world where hunger ceases to exist, and everyone can live a healthy, respectable life by supporting local farmers, educating communities, and reacting to emergencies with empathy.

WCC partners in shaping a sustainable future, not merely a place to study. By fostering a culture of compassion, empowerment, and accountability via programs such as Farmaralan and Oplan Damayan, future generations will be motivated to contribute to the global struggle to defeat hunger.
